CPG Abstract Submissions for 2013 I/ITSEC

“Development of a Cognitive Competency Model using a Hybrid Methodology”

This paper by Iris Rivera and Bill Ross will focus on how to guide the development of training interventions using competency models.

“Squad Leader Mastery: A Model Underlying Cognitive Readiness Interventions”

Written by Jennifer Phillips, Iris Rivera, Karol Ross, and Kenneth Knarr, this paper will focus on how to harness the vast amounts of expertise from a decade of combat to instantiate training and assessment strategies that accelerate the development of small unit leader decision expertise.

“Small Unit Decision Making Assessment Battery”

Co-authors Jennifer Vogel-Walcutt and Kenneth Knarr take a look at usable, reliable, and valid metrics that assess the targeted skills to train cognitive readiness.

This summer, papers will be reviewed for final acceptance to be presented and/or published. Stay tuned for further updates on which CPG findings you can learn about this fall at I/ITSEC 2013!
