Dr. Nic Bencaz joined our team this year as a Scientist III. His experiences range from creating computer-based training simulations-mentoring programs, and situational judgment tests, to organizational disaster plans, performance management tools, and surveys. He is well practiced in conducting structured interviews, performing competency modeling as well as strategic job analysis, and is proficient in a wide range of statistical analyses using SPSS. In the past, he has been called upon as an SME to aid the Department of Defense on their performance measurement system.
Dr. Bencaz entered into the field of Industrial and Organizational Psychology so that he could attempt to change the world of work one project at a time. Noticing from prior experiences how many individuals spend 75% of their adult lives at work, he is passionate about helping individuals better enjoy their company – both those they work for and those they work with. He regularly attends and contributes to national conferences to learn and promote the state of the field in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Dr. Bencaz earned a BA in Psychology from Louisiana State University, a MA and PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Central Florida with a focus on Organizational Development, Organizational Culture, and Talent Management.
