CPG is excited to report its participation in this year’s NDM Conference, held here in Orlando, Florida. This is the 10th annual International Conference on Naturalistic Decision Making and takes place at the Caribe Royale May 31st through June 3rd. NDM seeks to bring together scientists, researchers, and engineers from a multitude of backgrounds, including cognitive, computational, and organization sciences.
In addition to being part of a panel, CPG will also present in the session titled “Perceptual and Judgment Processes in Experts.” CPG‘s William Ross will present alongside Laura Militello (ADS), Greg Williams, and David Scott-Donelan on Thursday, June 2nd in Session T2 (1:40 PM – 3:00 PM), Room Boca 7.
Title Shifting Awareness “Left of Bang”: Tracking and Profiling Expertise
Abstract This paper describes a cognitive task analysis and the resulting model describing skilled performance in human tracking and combat profiling. Observations and interviews were conducted over 18 days of Border Hunter training in April 2010. The resulting models contributed to the design of a curriculum for future training.
