Meagan C. Arrastia, one of our research associates, has entered the Instructional Systems PhD program at Florida State University. Meagan, who plans on minoring in Cognitive Psychology, hopes to bring the knowledge and skills learned in the program back to CPG when working on research and development projects.
You may be asking yourself, “What is instructional systems?” Instructional Systems is the study and ethical practice that uses a systematic process to analysis learning and performance problems, design, develop, implement, and manage instructional and non-instructional solutions in order to facilitate the improvement of learning and performance in a variety of settings. Such solutions can range from tutorials, serious games, learning environments, video-based training, etc. Instructional Systems is both a science and an art that is learner-oriented and essential in almost all learning organizations.
